As part of our Physical Science Unit, the students have been learning all about circuits. They have been learning about closed and open circuits, and insulators and conductors. They also had the pleasure of creating a "Squishy Circuit" with homemade dough, LED Lights, a mechanical buzzer, an electric motor, and a piezoelectric buzzer. They kids had a great time! Below are some pictures from the fun!
The student's presented their Biography/Autobiography Book Reports on the Friday before February Vacation. They came out wonderful! The options for this book report were that they could dress up as the person their book was about, or they could create a puppet representing their person, and use their puppet to do their presentation.
Good Morning,
Happy last week of March! Hopefully the weather will show us that it's the last week of March soon! On Wednesday the students will be setting up their Science Fair boards and doing a practice run through for Thursday. Please make sure that they have any additions that they need (plants, food, bottles, etc.) with them on Wednesday morning. This way they will be set up, and ready to go. Also just a reminder, the Action/Adventure Book Reports are due Friday. Wednesday the student's will have a Wordly Wise Quiz to wrap up this past lesson before it gets too busy with the Science Fair and Book Reports. The next book report is "Poetry". The title of the books that the student's choose is due to me on Wednesday, April 1st. I have a list of Poetry Books on my blog, along with the project options. This one is fairly easy, as they will choose a book, but then pick out their favorite poem in the book they choose. The actual report isn't due until May 4th. Friday, April 3rd is "Bring a Buddy" to school day. If your child is planning on bringing someone, can you please let me know by next Monday, March 30th. I just want to make sure that I include any additional friends in my planning for that day. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Best, Mrs. Z |
